The Westfield baseball team won two games by shutouts to start the week.
On Monday, the Shamrocks beat Greenwood Christian Academy 4-0 in a home game. Ian Wilson hit a three-run home run in the first inning, also scoring Beck Jordan and Jake Russell. In the fourth inning, Russell scored a second run after Johnny Ewing hit a sacrifice fly.
Jordan also hit a double in the fifth inning. JP Mears pitched four innings for the win, striking out four.
Westfield traveled to Columbus North on Tuesday and won 11-0 in five innings. Lincoln Hoffman hit a triple, while Wilson was 2-for-4, including a double, and totaled three RBI. Drew Law also had two hits. Aiden Grabowski scored three runs, while Hoffman and Nick Fero both scored two runs.
Sam Flickinger got the win, with six strikeouts in 4.2 innings. Owen Swinford pitched the last out to give the Shamrocks a combined no-hitter.
The ‘Rocks are 14-8 and host Hamilton Southeastern Thursday to begin a Hoosier Crossroads Conference series.

Fishers cruised past Yorktown 9-3 in a Monday road game.
The Tigers led 5-0 after three innings. Luke Cherry singled in Deagan Repp in the first inning, Carter Strole batted in Jase Ruggles in the second inning, then Fishers added three runs in the third. Repp scored on a wild pitch, Zander Carnahan got home on Trevor Hall’s sacrifice fly, then Ruggles batted in Cherry.
The Tigers put up four more runs in the sixth inning. Justin Brown singled in Collin Bumps, then Carnahan’s left field hit brought Owen Lukac home. Huston Dunn scored on a passed ball, and Hall batted in Carnahan.
Strole batted 3-for-4, while Repp and Ruggles both had two hits. Austin Conley went four innings for the win.
Fishers is 19-4 and plays at Franklin Central on Thursday to start an HCC series.

University lost a tough 5-4 game to Zionsville Tuesday at RoundTripper Academy.
The Eagles scored three runs in the bottom of the second inning, but the Trailblazers scored three in the top of the third. Phillip Jacobs bunted in Finn Steiner for the first run, then Cooper Cammack smacked a triple into right field to bring in Jacobs and Beckett Suh.
University took a 4-3 lead in the sixth inning after Charlie Ranek singled in Cammack. But two consecutive sacrifice fly hits brought in two runs for Zionsville in the bottom of the second.
Cammack was 2-for-2, with Steiner hitting a double.
The Blazers are 11-10 and host Anderson Prep Academy at 5:30 p.m. this afternoon at RoundTripper Academy.

Hamilton Southeastern dropped a 3-1 game to Mt. Vernon Monday at Ken Seitz Field.
The Marauders scored all three of their runs in the first inning. The Royals scored their run in the second inning; Michael Hoog led off with a double, then Cy Cole hit a double to send him home.
Southeastern is 10-15 and plays at Westfield Thursday for an HCC series.

Guerin Catholic dropped a Circle City Conference game to Roncalli 5-0 on Tuesday.
The Royals scored all five runs in the fourth inning. Nolan Ratcliff had two hits for the Golden Eagles, while Ian Taylor hit a double. Tate Troxell threw eight strikeouts in five innings.
Guerin Catholic is 4-3 in the conference and 10-11 overall. The Golden Eagles play at Roncalli at 5:30 p.m. this afternoon to complete the series.
