Two dead, another person seriously injured in crash south of Tipton

Two people have died and another person was seriously injured in a crash Thursday afternoon on State Road 19 south of Tipton.

Michael and Virginia Landseadel, both 78, Tipton, were heading northbound in a 2019 Lincoln on State Road 19 near Tipton County Road 300 South when – for an unknown reason – they crossed the centerline. Their vehicle struck a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado truck driven by Cory Davis, 49, Cicero.

Authorities with state police, Tipton County Sheriff’s Office, and Tipton City Police Department arrived at the crash shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday The Landseadels died at the scene.

Davis was taken to a nearby hospital for serious injuries.

Police say drugs and alcohol were not suspected as having contributing to the crash.
