Nicholas E. “Nick” McKnight

April 16, 1987 – April 16, 2025

Nicholas E. “Nick” McKnight, 38, Noblesville, passed away on April 16, 2025, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born on April 16, 1987, in Louisville, Ky., Nick was the beloved son of Mike McKnight and the late Angela (Mason) Slyder.

A 2005 graduate of Frontier High School, Nick was a dedicated member of UA Local 157 Plumbers and Steamfitters, where he worked for 15 years. He was recently baptized at ITOWN Church of Noblesville, reflecting his deep faith.

Nick had a passion for the outdoors, enjoying activities such as fishing and hiking. He was a devoted father who loved his family and cherished every moment with his children. A sports enthusiast, Nick loved following Purdue athletics and the Chicago Blackhawks.

He is survived by his three children, Brooks Edward McKnight, Jayden Donald McKnight, and BrynLee Jean McKnight; his fiancée, Tabitha Clark; his father, Mike and Justine McKnight; his sister, Jenny and Matt Templin of Mulberry; and his stepfather, Curt Slyder. Nick is also survived by his nieces and nephew, Olivia Templin, Emmaleigh Templin, and Hayden Blackard; and his paternal grandparents, John and Georene McKnight.

Nick was preceded in death by his mother, Angela “Angie” Slyder; his maternal grandparents, Bob and Ima Jean Mason; his cousin, Jordan Lassiter; and his aunt, Mary Rich.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. EDT until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. EDT on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in Nick’s name for a good cause to be determined.
