Kevin Randall Newby

December 31, 1962 – April 17, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kevin Randall Newby, also known as Kevin, who was born to Richard and Edna Newby on December 31, 1962, in Noblesville.

Kevin, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, left us on April 17, 2025. He resided in Westfield with his loving wife, Gail Wiles-Newby, whom he married on June 23, 2000.

Kevin was a man of many admirable qualities. He was adventurous, often seeking out new experiences and challenges. His ambition led him to own a trucking company, Capricorn Logistics, from which he retired. Throughout his life, he remained thoughtful and smart, bringing joy and wisdom to those around him. His hobbies included farming, trucking, golfing, playing pool, and especially playing cards every Friday with his friends, Brad and Wanda Smith. He had a fondness for horses and travel, showing his adventurous spirit. Kevin was also deeply involved in his church, Carmel Northview Church. His faith was very important to him, and he hosted a life group at his house for several years.

In the words of the Apostle Paul, “We live by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7). Kevin lived by this verse, placing his faith and love in his family and God.

He is survived by his wife, Gail; his children, Josh (Kourtney) Newby, Marylynn Newby, Melissa (Monte) Newby, Matthew (Amy) Camp, Cory (Maryann) Camp, and Jordan (Mariah) Wiles; his sisters, Kathy Crouch and Karla Burkett; and his many cherished grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Edna Newby.

Visitation will be held at noon EDT on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Hartley Funeral Homes, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero. The funeral service will follow at the same location at 2 p.m. EDT and will be live-streamed at my.gather.app/remember/kevin-newby.

We invite you to leave memories and upload photos to Kevin’s memorial page as a tribute to his remarkable life. Kevin’s spirit of adventure, ambition, thoughtfulness, and intelligence will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May we remember his love for his family, his faith, and his passion for life, and may these memories bring comfort in this time of sorrow.
