Starting next week, State Road 13 will close in sections between Interstate 69 and Lapel for pavement rehabilitation in Madison County.

On or after Monday, April 14, SR 13 will close to traffic between I-69 and SR 38 for milling, followed by full-depth reclamation work and surface paving. SR 13 is expected to remain closed through late May, weather permitting. The official detour will follow I-69 northbound to SR 38 (Exit 219). Access will be maintained for local traffic only.

The next closure will occur between County Road 400 South and Lapel and is scheduled to begin once the previous phase has reopened. Additional phased closures include the intersection of SR 13 and SR 38 and SR 13 between SR 38 and County Road 400 South. More information related to schedule will be shared at a later date. Overall construction is anticipated to be complete in September.

Drivers are reminded to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
