The Anderson Museum of Art (AMOA) will open its 44th annual IN-Focus Photography Exhibition on Friday, celebrating the incredible talent and vision of photographers from across the region.

The public is invited to join the festivities from 5 to 8 p.m. this Friday, April 4, during First Friday, with an opening reception and awards ceremony beginning at 6:30 p.m.

This year’s IN-Focus winners have demonstrated outstanding creativity and technical mastery across various categories: Animal/Wildlife, Architecture, Digital Manipulation, Nature/Scenic, Open, People, and Photojournalism. The exhibition offers a powerful visual experience that reflects the diverse perspectives of our artistic community. The show will remain on view through May 24.

In addition to the exhibition opening, AMOA will feature 15 local vendors as part of its A.R.T.S. (A Reason to Shop) pop-up market, encouraging visitors to support local makers and artists. Families are also invited to enjoy children’s activities inspired by the new exhibition, presented through AMOA’s Art at Play program – an initiative that celebrates creative play and self-expression for all ages.

AMOA extends sincere appreciation to the exhibition sponsors whose ongoing support makes IN-Focus possible each year:

  • Star Photo
  • The Herald Bulletin
  • Madison County Federal Credit Union
  • Sam Johnson F.C. Tucker Prosperity
  • Jam Printing

Their contributions are vital in strengthening the arts and fostering a creative, connected community.
