Seven players selected for Top 60 Senior Workout

Seven Hamilton County boys basketball players will be among the participants at the Hoosier Basketball Magazine Top 60 Senior Girls workout on Sunday.

These boys were selected from approximately 1,500 senior players statewide. Statistical evaluation, game observation and statewide research were conducted throughout the season and the state tournament to determine Hoosier Basketball Magazine’s Top 60.

Two sessions of the Top 60 Senior Workout will be hosted by Hoosier Basketball Magazine, in conjunction with the IHSAA and the IBCA, at Marian University, 3200 N. Cold Spring Road, Indianapolis.

Half of the Top 60 boys, primarily from Northern and Southern Indiana, will participate in the first session, set for 1 to 3 p.m. The remaining players, mostly from Central Indiana, will compete during the second session, which takes place from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Hamilton County’s seven participants are Nathan Baker, JonAnthony Hall and Justin Kirby of Fishers; Bryson Cardinal of Guerin Catholic; Max McComb of University, Durante Morton of Westfield and Caleb Wright of Sheridan. Carmel’s Alex Couto was selected but is unable to participate due to injury.

Guerin Catholic head coach Bobby Allen will direct both sessions. Fishers head coach Garrett Winegar, along with Jimtown’s Tyler Leighton, Jennings County’s Michael McBride and East Chicago Central’s Alaa Mroueh, have been invited to assist with on-court coaching.

Both sessions are open to the public for admission fee of $9.
