Ronald Lee Gerber

May 5, 1952 – March 15, 2025

Ronald Lee Gerber, 72, Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on May 5, 1952, to David and Alberta (Brantlinger) Gerber in Noblesville and was a lifelong Noblesville resident.

Ron worked for Fred’s Frozen Foods in Noblesville for 25 years, Chrysler Casting Plant in Kokomo for 12 years, then Firestone in Noblesville for two years as a Journeyman Machine Repairman. He was a member of Strawtown Community Church. Ron was a Little League Coach, Boy Scout Leader, and a great storyteller. He enjoyed fishing, rabbit hunting, and drives through the country. Ron loved watching John Wayne movies and looking at old cars. He was a hard worker and always put his family first.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years and high school sweetheart, whom he met in 1969 and loved the rest of his life, Deborah A. Gerber (McConnell); sons, Jeffrey L. (Tammy) Gerber, Matthew S. (Kristin) Gerber, and Michael A. Gerber; grandchildren, McKenzie (Tyler) Jackson, Kennedy Gerber, Kendall Gerber, Evan Gerber, and Grant Gerber; great-grandchild, Conner Jackson; sisters, Roxanne Gerber and Tammy Eller; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Robin Keith; and brother-in-law, Steve McConnell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father- and mother-in-law, Darrell and Shirley McConnell; and brother-in-law, David A. McConnell.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville, with Pastor Rick Huffman officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
