Westfield finished the regular season with an overtime win on the road Tuesday.
The Shamrocks got past Mount Vernon 58, making a fourth-quarter comeback to force the extra period. The Marauders led 16-11 after the first period, then extended their lead to 27-17 by halftime.
Mount Vernon was up 43-34 after three quarters; Will Harvey threw in three 3-pointers in that quarter for nine points. Durante Morton took over for Westfield in the fourth, pouring in 18 of the Shamrocks’ 20 points in that period. That helped Westfield tie the game at 54-54 by the end of regulation. The ‘Rocks outscored the Marauders 8-4 in overtime.
Morton finished with 26 points. Jalen Malone scored 10 points, including seven in the first quarter.
Westfield is 18-3 and plays Fishers Tuesday in a first-round Sectional 8 game at Carmel.
