Hamilton Southeastern finished its Hoosier Crossroads Conference season with an exciting win on Friday.
The Royals got a 61-55 overtime victory at Brownsburg. The Bulldogs led 15-11 after the first quarter, but Southeastern came back to lead 29-26 at halftime.
The Royals held a 44-42 lead after three periods before Brownsburg got it back to 51-51 at the end of regulation. Southeastern outscored the Bulldogs 10-4 in the extra period.
Maverick Young led HSE with 18 points, followed by Landon Osswald with 11 points and Varschon Clark with 10 points. Braeden Totten had a strong defensive game with eight rebounds and two blocked shots. Clark and Lucas Weemer both dished out four assists.
Southeastern completed HCC play with a 2-5 record. The Royals are 13-10 overall, having won their last five games. Southeastern hosts Lawrence North on Tuesday in its regular-season finale.
