Indiana State Police Superintendent Anthony Scott announced Monday the promotion of Captain Shea L. Reliford to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel to serve as the Deputy Superintendent of Support Services, as well as the promotion of Lieutenant Allen J. Williamson to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel to serve as the Deputy Superintendent of the Investigations Bureau.

Reliford
Reliford, who is originally from Terre Haute, Ind., is a 1999 graduate of South Vigo High School, and in 2003, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana University. On April 9, 2006, he graduated from the 65th Indiana State Police Recruit Academy and was appointed as a Trooper assigned to the Indiana State Police Post in Indianapolis, where he served for seven years. During that time, Reliford served as a Recruit Academy Counselor for the 70th to 72nd Recruit Academies.
In 2013, Reliford was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, and he served in the Employment Services Section of the Human Resources Division. In 2016 he was transferred to the Training Division as the Assistant Commander of the 75th Recruit Academy. In 2016, he was promoted to the rank of First Sergeant and served as the Director of Administration for the Intelligence & Investigative Technologies Indiana Intelligence Fusion Center and Indiana Clearinghouse for Missing Children and Missing Endangered Adults.
In 2018, Reliford was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and served as the Benefits and Employment Services Section Commander of the Human Resources Division.
In May 2021, he was promoted to the rank of Captain and served as the Human Resources Division Deputy Commander.
Lt. Col. Reliford will oversee the Fiscal Division, Logistics Division, Criminal Justice Data Division, Training Division, and the Human Resources Division. He and his family are residents of Marion County.

Williamson
Williamson is a 1981 graduate of New Prairie High School in New Prairie (LaPorte County). He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University at Bloomington in Public and Environmental Affairs specializing in Criminal Justice.
In December of 1987, Williamson graduated from the 45th Indiana State Police Recruit Academy and was appointed as a Trooper assigned to the Toll Road Post. In 1989, he transferred to the Lowell Post and was assigned patrol duties in Porter and LaPorte counties.
In 1996, he was reassigned as a detective at the Lowell District and in 2008 was promoted to the rank of First Sergeant and served as the Investigative Squad Leader at the Toll Road Post.
In 2009, Williamson transferred back to the Lowell Post as that District’s Investigative Squad Leader until April 2017 when he was promoted to the rank Lieutenant where he served as the Area I Investigative Commander.
Lt. Col. Williamson will oversee Field Investigations, Drug Investigations, Investigative Support, Special Investigations and the Laboratory Division. He and his family are residents of Madison County.
