Lloyd A. Coverdale (Shorty)

April 22, 1955 – January 14, 2025

Lloyd A. Coverdale passed away peacefully at home hospice on January 14, 2025, in Tualatin, Ore.

Lloyd was born on April 22, 1955, in Noblesville to James E. and Ellen (Sherley) Coverdale. Lloyd joined the Air Force in 1973 and converted to AF Civil Service as a software developer in 1987.

On June 25, 1994 he married Nancy (Roberts) Coverdale. After moving to Portland, Ore., he started bartending, which was a natural for him, and later moved on as a beer sales representative. He truly made a name for himself in the beer business with his attitude, integrity, and friendship. He was a graduate of Hamilton Heights High School.

Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Nancy; and his two sons, Paul (Melissa) Coverdale and Christopher (Andrea) Stauty; as well as his grandchildren, Victoria Coverdale, Sofia Coverdale, Sabastian Coverdale, and Alexia Stauty; and great-grandson, Edward McClain. He is also survived by his brothers, Paul (Teresa) Coverdale and David (Rose) Coverdale; and sister, Anita Coverdale; along with many nieces, nephews, and grand-nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Jim and Ellen Coverdale; and his brother, Larry.

A celebration of all things Lloyd (Shorty) will be held in the Spring of 2025.

The Neptune Society of Portland, Oregon has been entrusted with cremation services.
