Princillo June Blazier

July 15, 1937 – January 12, 2025

Princillo June Blazier, 87, passed away at the Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield, Ind., on Sunday, January 12. She was a resident of the Legacy Memory Facility there and loved by all.

Princillo was born July 15, 1937 in Jonesville, Va., to the late Colbert Sumpter and Martha (Fee) Sumpter. She worked at Riverview Hospital where she met her late husband Joseph Nelson Blazier II, from Noblesville. She was a member of the Wesleyan Church in French Lick, Ind., and in recent years attended the Park Place Free Methodist Church in New Castle, Ind. She exemplified Christ beautifully and both churches loved her dearly. (They dubbed her the head of the amen corner and loved to hear her pray.)

She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by her daughters Joann (Stephen) Hickman, Janie Abney, and son Joseph (Brenda) Blazier; her grandchildren Derek (Tara) Hickman, Scott Hickman, Jamison Abney, Brittany (Kevin) Osborn, and Kent Blazier; her great-grandchildren, Lauren Hickman, Cameron (Kaylah) Hickman, Sophia Hickman, Reagan Hickman, Iestyn Hickman, Corban Abner, and Jaden Abney. She stayed closely connected to her sister, Emily Wolfenbarger, and niece, Nadine Collins.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, brother Donald Sumpter, Anne Estes, and Ethel Collins.
