Greyhounds take down Giants at home

Carmel’s boys took care of Marion 57-39 in a Friday game at Bill Shepherd Court at the Eric Clark Activity Center.

The Greyhounds had a solid first half, leading 17-7 after one quarter and 34-14 at halftime. The Giants made a comeback in the third quarter, cutting Carmel’s lead to 43-34, but the ‘Hounds took over in the fourth, outscoring Marion 14-5.

Liam Mann scored 14 points for Carmel, with Ben Bremer adding 13 points, including three 3-pointers. Alex Couto also hit three 3s on his way to 11 points, dished out nine assists and collected six rebounds. Jamichael Fountain and Mann both pulled six rebounds, with Jamie Whack getting five rebounds.

The Greyhounds are 7-4 and host Bloomington South tonight.
