Terry Lyn Ballenger, 76, Noblesville, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Greenwood, Ind. He was born on December 2, 1948, to Robert and Margaret (Sanders) Ballenger in Flint, Mich.
Terry was a middle school science teacher for 27 years, teaching at Hamilton Southeastern Schools and at Hamilton Heights Schools. After retirement Terry had his own painting business and was a member of Refuge Christian Church. Terry loved nature, hiking, and traveling. He enjoyed bird watching and led bird-watching hikes in Carmel. Terry also enjoyed going to outdoor concerts.
He is survived by his wife, Nelda Ballenger; sons, Andy (Donna Turner) Ballenger and Jason (Anna) Ballenger; grandchildren, Lillian and Grace Ballenger; great-grandchild, Myles Cheever; brothers, Robert Ballenger and Dave (Patricia) Ballenger; and sister, Peggy Adams.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at noon on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville, with Rev. Stanley R. Sutton officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to the time of service at the funeral home.
