Santa’s little helpers shopped for gifts at Target and collected warm winter coats from Old Navy. HCSO staff and members of the public filled personalized stockings, and volunteers and employees wrapped presents. The next step involves the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Christmas Express. Santa Claus, Deputy Justice (mascot), patrol deputies, corrections officers, and family members will load large red bags full of toys into police vehicles. The jolly group will then hand-deliver the gifts to the front doorsteps of participating families.

A special thank you goes out to the HCSO Citizens Academy Alumni Association, Target of Fishers, Old Navy at Hamilton Town Center, Mercantile 37, Hamilton County Youth Assistance Programs, and many contributions from the community for helping to make this event possible.

The HCSO Community Foundation’s is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and its goals involve:

  • Providing financial aid and helping for those in need in the community, particularly children.
  • Supporting the hardworking employees at the Sheriff’s Office.
  • Building stronger relationships between deputies, corrections officers, and staff with all members of the community.

ALL ABOARD! The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Christmas Express is coming to a neighborhood near you.
