Tiger boys & girls teams start season by sweeping Zionsville

The Fishers swim teams opened their season Monday by sweeping a dual meet with Zionsville.

The Tigers won the girls meet 105-81, taking seven of 12 events. Emily Wolf was a double winner in the 200 and 500 freestyles. Emma Schwertfeger placed first in the 50 free, Polina Sopova won the butterfly and Claire Francis triumphed in the breaststroke. Fishers also won the medley and 400 relays.

In the boys meet, Fishers was a 115-70 winner. The Tigers were first in nine events, with Alex Koo first in the 50 and 100 freestyles. Eduardo Sanchez was the winner of the butterfly and 500 free. AJ Adams won the individual medley. Mason Lawson was first in diving, and Alex Hines took the 500 free. Fishers also was first in the medley and 400 free relays.
