Dear Editor:

This past Monday had a Planning Commission meeting regarding proposed rezoning of land around Hague Road and 206th Street. That area is nowhere near where I live and I do not know people in the current neighborhoods there.

After the corporate presentation, the neighborhoods were allowed short periods of time to respond to the proposed changes. Many, many comments were presented on the negative impact the rezoning would have on their habitats, their environment, and their day-to-day lives.

I was appalled that these neighborhoods were only given a few days for their responses but also to the total lack of any concern displayed by the Planning Commission. I thought at least the commission would provide a delay to allow the neighborhoods more time for their responses, but their decision to submit the proposal to the City Council for approval was, literally, unbelievable.

Noblesville citizens need to open their eyes to what is going on. It seems the citizens of Noblesville have no value when it comes to corporate proposals.

Thank you, Diana! I couldn’t have said it better myself! You are indeed astute in your observations and comments. We, who are so vehemently opposed to this for so many valid reasons, appreciate your observations, and the time you took to write this letter. The citizens of Noblesville are rarely, if ever, heard by our current administration. Thank you for listening! Please join us in our fight to save our eagles, wetlands, etc!

  2. Diana Rices Letter to the editor is factual and on point ! Its more of the FOR THEE AND NOT ME ! In tbhe opinion ion of many the vruination of Noblesville is occurring right before our eyes with such Ugly build outs as all the downtown apartments…The next issue is when will ERICAs restaurant be closed so the county can expand their fingerprint and maybe build another two to three story parking garage !
