On Tuesday, Dec. 3, the Muscular Dystrophy Family Foundation (MDFF) will play host to a free Trivia Night on Giving Tuesday, Dec. 3, the national day of charity giving. Trivia begins at 6:30 p.m. at Ale Emporium, 11501 Geist Pavilion Drive, #100, Fishers.
This is the second year MDFF has partnered with Ale Emporium to bring a fun trivia night to the community and help raise funds and awareness about muscular dystrophy.
Come hear a personal story about muscular dystrophy from MDFF Board Vice President David Thyen, take part in unique raffles, and enjoy laughs as you play trivia. Ryan from Indy’s Live Trivia will run the game. The event will also feature a $5,000 anonymous matching gift this year, so all contributions made at Trivia Night will go even further to support MDFF’s mission. The heated porch at Ale is family-friendly, so children are welcome.

What does MDFF do?
MDFF serves Hoosier families navigating living life with muscular dystrophy. The organization does this through direct financial assistance for equipment, home modifications, and accessible vehicles. The provision of such equipment, modifications, and repairs can greatly contribute to much-needed dignity, improved quality of life, and increased independence for individuals facing the progressive challenges of this disease as well as their families.
This year, MDFF will give away two large accessible transit vans to deserving families. The Rodriguez-Bravo Family from Fort Wayne received the keys to their van in October. The Wickizer Family will receive their van in later November.
Applications for the 2025 Accessible Van Giveaway Program open on Dec. 1. Requirements to apply to a van are A) be diagnosed with muscular dystrophy or a neuromuscular disease (according to the applicable diseases listed on the national Muscular Dystrophy Association website), B) reside in the state of Indiana, C) have a need for a mobility van, and D) have the financial resources to pay for insurance, plates, and maintenance of the vehicle.
