The City of Carmel will hold its Veterans Day Ceremony from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 to honor veterans in the community. The event will take place at The Tarkington Theater at Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts, 3 Carter Green.
The city-wide “A Legacy of Loyalty and Service” poster and essay contest winners will also be recognized. Winning posters will be displayed and students will read their winning essays at the ceremony.
Participants will include:

- Michael Beresford, Superintendent, Carmel Clay Schools
- Carmel Middle School Choir directed by Trisha Scheidies
- Carmel VFW Post 10003 Honor Guard
- Reverend George Davis, Carmel Police Chaplain, U.S. Army Veteran
- Harold “Rock” Effron, Carmel VFW Post 10003 Chaplain, U.S. Army Veteran, Vietnam War
- Mayor Sue Finkam
- John Govin, U.S. Air Force 1st Lieutenant, Carmel Police Department Sergeant
- Tim Hannon, Retired U.S. Navy Captain
