Recovery Café Hamilton County is proud to partner with the Indy Vet Center to serve our Hamilton County veterans and their families.
Together, we offer programs and services in a beautiful café space for veterans to find community, support, and healing for whatever obstacles may be keeping them from thriving in their lives. The café is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
We have coffee, tea, snacks, and a meal every day we are open – these goodies along with all of the café’s services and programs are free to guests and members. We’re a community of people from all ages and backgrounds, walking alongside one another as we heal from addictions, mental health challenges, trauma, loss, grief, and life transitions of all kinds.
On Tuesdays, the café becomes a Community Access Point for Hamilton County where current service members (Active Duty, Reserves, National Guard) and eligible veterans along with their families, if desired, meet with an Indy Vet Center readjustment therapist who offers non-medical psychosocial counseling related to specific types of military-related stressors such as pre- and post-deployment and discharge. The focus is on removing barriers to successful post-military transition.
We welcome all veterans and current service members and/or their families to stop by Recovery Café Hamilton County for our Open House with the Indy Vet Center anytime from 4 to 7 p.m. next Tuesday, Oct. 22. We are located in the Eller House on 116th Street near Allisonville Road in Fishers (7050 E. 116th St., Suite 100 – right behind Starbucks). We will have refreshments in our warm and welcoming cafe, and you can meet the Indy Vet Center therapist and Recovery Café staff and learn more about all that is offered here.
You are also welcome to visit the café anytime we are open. Our hours again are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4 to 8 p.m. and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. We hope to see you at the Open House from 4 to 7 p.m. next Tuesday … or anytime we’re open!
