“The Indy Chamber’s Business Advocacy Committee is proud to endorse Sen. Scott Baldwin in his reelection campaign,” Indy Chamber President and CEO Matt Mindrum said. “With his private sector experience and two decades of service to our country and community, he understands how we can seize opportunities and overcome challenges to build an economy where small and large businesses alike can thrive. We look forward to his continued leadership in the legislature.”

Baldwin pledged to continue working to make Indiana a great place to do business.

“I’m proud to have earned the endorsement of the Indy Chamber’s Business Advocacy Committee,” Baldwin said. “At the statehouse, I’ve leveraged my experience as an entrepreneur to craft and support policies that lower taxes, cut red tape and skill up our workforce. I’ll continue to do just that to ensure Indiana remains a thriving place to start a business, live and raise a family.”

In the state Senate, Baldwin has authored and supported policies to strengthen Indiana’s reputation as one of the friendliest states in the country for small businesses, including authoring legislation to provide $100 million in federal tax relief to Hoosier small businesses. He has also supported policies that reduced individual income tax rates, expanded eligibility for the state’s venture capital investment tax credit for Hoosier entrepreneurs, eliminated the state’s ban on “happy hours” and increased access to affordable child care to further support Hoosier small businesses and their employees, among others.

Baldwin, with more than 25 years of military and law enforcement experience, is a successful entrepreneur and business owner, a husband, and a father of three.
