Volleyball: Huskies sweep Marion on Senior Night, Westfield beats Fishers in conference match, Noblesville falls to Brownsburg in four sets

The Hamilton Heights volleyball team breezed to a Senior Night win on Thursday, sweeping Marion 25-5, 25-11, 25-17.

The Huskies used solid offense and serving to win the match, especially in the second set. Heights completed the regular season with a 25-4 record and travels to New Castle this coming Thursday for Class 3A Sectional 24 action. The Huskies play the host Trojans at 7 p.m.

Westfield beat Fishers Thursday in a straight-set Hoosier Crossroads Conference match on Thursday.

The set scores were 25-9, 25-19, 25-16. Audrey Bassett and Audrey Davis both hit nine kills for the Shamrocks, with Bassett serving three aces. Kendyl Strack collected nine digs. Izzy Jackson made eight digs and dished out 16 assists, with Emily Blevins handing out 12 assists.

Fishers stats were not available. The Tigers fell to Yorktown in three sets on Tuesday, 25-17, 25-15, 25-23.

Westfield finished 5-2 in HCC play and completed the regular season 20-8. The Rocks will host Class 4A Sectional 8 next week and will play the winner of a first-round match between Fishers and Noblesville. The Tigers finished the regular season 18-14 and were 3-4 in the conference.

Noblesville dropped a four-set HCC match to Brownsburg on Thursday, 25-16, 15-25, 25-20, 25-17.

The Millers finished conference play 2-5 and are 18-9 for the regular season. Noblesville plays today at the Lawrence North Invitational.
