Joyce Christine Cline

July 29, 1943 – September 24, 2024

Joyce Christine Cline, 81, Tipton, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at IU Health Methodist Hospital. She was born in Indianapolis on July 29, 1943, to the late Mansfield and Mary (Sowders) Adamson.

Joyce grew up in the Arcadia area and was a member of the graduation class of 1961 at Jackson Central High School. Joyce had a career in manufacturing working in several different positions for General Motors. She was a loyal member of Arcadia Christian Church and volunteered in many aspects of the Church including organizing funeral dinners for families for over 20 years. Joyce’s true passion was volunteer work, on top of her time at the Church, Joyce also volunteered for Angels’ Attic and Tipton Hospital.

Joyce is survived by her two sons, Ed Cline of Tipton and Jason Cline of Muncie, Ind.; granddaughters, Ashlen Cline of Littleton, Colo., and Amanda Cline of Denver, Colo.; grandson, Evan Cline of Aurora, Colo.; great-granddaughter, Autumn Wilson; great-grandson, Fox Duffens; brother, Eldon (Dorothy) Adamson of Waynesville, N.C.; sisters, Judy Parker of Windfall, Ind., and Billiann (Robert) Wilham of Tipton.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nancy Kellogg.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Arcadia Christian Church, 26901 State Road 19, Arcadia, with J.R. Moffatt officiating. Burial will follow in the Arcadia Brethren Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2024, at Hartley Funeral Home, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero.
