Millers victorious in all-county contest, Royals & Tigers get big conference wins

Noblesville won an all-county boys soccer game with Carmel Tuesday 4-1 at Hallmark Orthodontics Soccer Complex.

The Class 3A No. 2 Millers led 3-0 at halftime. Ben Hewitt scored two goals for Noblesville, with Caden Rice and Carsten Shidler each getting one goal. Matthew Schilt scored the goal for the 3A No. 12 Greyhounds.

Carmel dropped a 4-2 game to Cathedral on Monday. Owen Price and Evan Bardos both scored one goal for the Greyhounds, with Tyler Schilt and Troy Enslin both making one assist.

The Millers are 8-0-6 and play Thursday at 3A No. 1 Center Grove. Carmel is 3-5-3 and hosts New Palestine on Thursday.

Hamilton Southeastern won a big Hoosier Crossroads Conference game over Zionsville 2-1 on Tuesday.

The 3A No. 3 Eagles scored first, but the 3A No. 4 Royals got the equalizer in the 33rd minute when Jack Anderson scored off a Gabe Russell assist. Southeastern took the lead in the second half after Ameer Abu-Salih sent a pass to Johnny Ramos Perez, who put it in for the go-ahead goal.

The Royals finished HCC play 4-0-3 and are 9-0-5 overall. Southeastern plays its regular season finale next Thursday, Oct. 3 at Carmel.

Fishers picked up an HCC win Tuesday at Avon by the score of 4-1.

Reid Spittler scored two goals for the 3A No. 7 Tigers, with Andres Artigas and Sam Barnett both scoring one goal. Spittler, Max Chesebrough and Santiago Garcia all scored one goal.

Fishers is 3-2-1 in conference play and 8-3-2 overall. The Tigers host Zionsville Thursday to complete HCC play.
