Erin Dee Pesavento

July 23, 1943 – August 12, 2024

Erin Dee Pesavento, 81, Arcadia, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 12, 2024.

Erin was born in Noblesville on July 23, 1943, to the late Don and Victoria (Mosbaugh) Hope.

On December 24, 1966, she married John Pesavento and shared 57 years of marriage.

Erin attended Evansville College, earned a bachelor’s degree in art & music, and earned her master’s degree in art. Erin was a teacher for five years and taught at Hamilton Heights Schools, Hamilton Southeastern High School, and then Maconaquah High School where she met John. Once Nikki was born, Erin elected to retire and become a homemaker. However, Erin thought of herself first and foremost as an artist and continued to paint with watercolors until her passing. Erin was a member of the Hamilton County Artists’ Association, Watercolor Society of Indiana, and Job’s Daughters. In her free time, she enjoyed painting, watercolors, and traveling to Florida with John.

Erin is survived by her husband, John Wayne Pesavento, Arcadia; daughter, Nikki (Jason) Meyer, Fishers; grandchildren, Claire (Mark) Guzik, New York City, N.Y., and Lydia (Logan) Santerelli of Nashville, Tenn.; and great-granddaughter, Luca Santerelli.

Erin was preceded in death by her parents, Don & Victoria Hope.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Hartley Funeral Home, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero. The memorial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Hartley Funeral Home, Cicero, with Mark Knapp officiating. A private inurnment will follow the service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
