Noblesville High School unveils 2024-25 Athletic Hall of Fame Class

Noblesville High School has announced its Noblesville High School Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2024-25. These individuals and team will be inducted at half time of the Jan. 11 boys basketball game versus Muncie Central.

In order to be considered, past Noblesville athletes/graduates must be nominated. A committee then votes on those nominations. Information and nomination forms can be found online at the Noblesville High School Athletic site.

Here are this year’s nominees:

Ashley Auld (2008) – Soccer

Named the 2007 Indiana Miss Soccer and the Gatorade Indiana Player of the Year as a senior. Honorable mention All-State as a sophomore, Third Team All-State as a junior, First Team All-State as a senior. The Millers went 59-8-6 over Auld’s four years and won four HCC Championships. Accumulated 110 career points with 42 goals and 26 assists. Auld was named the 2007 Indianapolis Star All-North Player of the Year.

Jeff Chapman (1999) – Basketball, Golf

Three-year letterman in basketball playing on teams that went 60-15. All Olympic Conference both as a junior and senior. Metro North All Hamilton County as both a junior and a senior. Led the county as a senior in scoring (19.7) and rebounding (9.5). Scored 34 points in a single game. Metro North Player of the Year in 1999. Hamilton County Player of the Year as a senior. In golf, led the Millers to back-to-back state championships averaging a team low 75. All State both as a junior and a senior. Two-time Hamilton County Player of the Year. Olympic Conference Player of the Year as a senior. Individual Sectional Champion as a junior. Finished fourth in the state meet as a senior. IHSAA Mental Attitude Award winner as a senior.

Lacey Boutwell Schnell (2001) – Swim

Lacey earned three individual IHSAA state swim titles during her time at NHS. In 1998 she was the state champion in both the 50 and 100 freestyle as a freshman. Her 50 free state meet performance in 1998 set the state record with a time of 22.90 seconds; that time stood until 2014. She is one of 10 people in IHSAA swim history to win two individual state titles as a freshman. In 2001, she won the 100 freestyle again and set the state record in 49.77 seconds; that time stood for 12 years. Today, Lacey still holds five Noblesville swim records in the 50 free, 100 free, 100 butterfly, 200 individual medley and 200 free. She still owns Hoosier Crossroads Conference records in the 200 free and 100 free which were established in 2001.

Debbie King Woodward (1973) – gymnastics

In the first ever IHSAA Girls State Championship in any sport, Debbie won the individual state championship on the balance beam. This was Noblesville’s first ever individual or team IHSAA state championship in a girls sport.

1985-1986 Boys Basketball

Sectional Champions, Olympic Conference Champions, Ranked as high as No. 2 in the state. Finished the regular season ranked No. 4. Indiana High School Basketball Hall of Fame participant at Southridge. The players on this team played a major role in establishing a 41-game home win streak over the course of five years.
