INDOT will soon begin intersection improvements along State Road 37

Construction on intersection improvements along State Road 37 will begin soon as part of the Indiana Department of Transportation’s work in Noblesville.

Construction will take place at the intersections of SR 37 and 186th Street, 191st Street, and 206th Street. SR 37 will remain open through construction, but drivers should expect closures and restrictions on 186th Street and 191st Street.

The first closure will be 191st Street, east of SR 37. This closure is anticipated to last 60 days, weather permitting. Once the work is complete on the east side of SR 37, 191st Street will close west of SR 37 for 30 days, weather permitting.

In September, 186th Street will be closed for 30 days, weather permitting.

Construction includes the following improvements:

  • Restricted crossing U-Turn reconstruction along SR 37 at 186th Street.
  • Adding left-turn lane capacity to 191st Street and a new multi-use path crossing SR 37.
  • Traffic signal modernization at the SR 37 and 206th Street intersection.

INDOT reminds drivers to help keep construction workers safe by slowing down, using caution, and avoiding distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change. If there are changes to the schedule, they will be announced on the project’s social media channels and website.
