Feinstein’s at the Hotel Carmichael in Carmel is well known for the many shows that pay homage to musical greats, both past and present. Coming up in July, Nicole Zuraitis takes you on a century-long journey of female songwriters and lyricists.

On Tuesday, July 16 at 7:30 p.m., Nicole Zuraitis takes the stage with her show, Generations of Her, celebrating women songwriters and lyricists of the last 100 years.

This fantastic show will take you on a musical journey across the decades and across many genres. Featuring music from 1924 to the present day, this show is full of surprises, unknown facts and classic gems, along with arrangements by Zuraitis of music by Carole King, Bobby Gentry, Loretta Lynn, Sade, Aretha Franklin, Maria Griever, Irene Higgenbotham, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Dolly Parton, Janis Ian, amazing modern-day composers, living jazz songwriters, and more.

Full of great backstories and banter, this show is a true crowd favorite.

Nicole Zuraitis is a GRAMMY Award-winning (2024) jazz singer-songwriter, pianist, and arranger, New York-based bandleader and winner of the prestigious 2021 American Traditions Vocal Competition Gold Medal. With a “heart as big as her remarkable voice” (Jazz Police), she has positioned herself as one of the top artists and “prolific songwriters” (Broadway World) to watch in jazz and beyond.

Her arrangement of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene,” co-written with renowned drummer and bandleader Dan Pugach, was nominated for a 2019 GRAMMY, springboarding her career and making her a household name in the modern-day jazz landscape. In 2020, she was named in the Top 40 under 40 for 2020 in Connecticut Magazine, and her weekly livestream during the COVID-19 crisis, Virtual Piano Lounge, was featured in Forbes Magazine.

She has collaborated with an extensive list of luminaries, including Christian McBride, David Cook, Gilad Hekselman, Veronica Swift, Benny Benack, Stephen Feifke, Cyrille Aimee, Antonio Sanchez, Dave Stryker, Omar Hakim, Rachel Z, Helen Sung, and Bernard Purdie. She is a proud educator and currently vocal faculty at NYU and SUNY Purchase.

Calling all Parrot Heads! When the weather heats up in the summer, no performer comes to mind more so than the King of Cool – Jimmy Buffett. His songs take you right along with him to a sandy beach with the wind and the waves and a cold margarita.

On Thursday, July 18, is BUBBLES UP! Let’s Celebrate Jimmy Buffett. Jimmy Buffett was everybody’s friend, and paradise was wherever he was. Many of his lyrics were about living life, being happy, respecting each other and nature, along with much more.

The tropical troubadour who left us last year earns a place being celebrated at Feinstein’s at Hotel Carmichael. Join the tribute “docu-cabaret” team of Don Farrell and the Terry Woods Jazz Quartet as they conjure a world of sun, saltwater, and nonstop parties while paying tribute to the singer, songwriter, author, sailor and entrepreneur whose roguish brand of island escapism on hits like “Margaritaville” and “Cheeseburger in Paradise” made him something of a latter-day folk hero.

BUBBLES UP! is presented by the same team that brought you the hit shows All the Way: A Frank Sinatra Tribute, Because Of You: A Tribute to Tony Bennett, Sweet Caroline: The Life and Music of Neil Diamond, and One Voice: The Music of Manilow, join Don Farrell and the Terry Woods Orchestra as they will guide you on an evening of stories and music that will have you up and dancing in the aisles.

Shows begin at 7:30 p.m.; doors open at 5:30 p.m. Come enjoy a fantastic dinner and beverages before the show.
