First ‘Late Night on Main’ set for Saturday in Carmel

Streets will heat up with free music & family fun to kick off summer in the city

Are you ready for a late-night street party in the Carmel Arts & Design District? From 7 p.m. to midnight this Saturday, June 15, come out for the first of three “Late Night on Main” events on Main Street.

Late Night on Main returns to Main Street on the third Saturday of each summer month. Two city blocks are used for these events. The street party begins at 7 p.m. with food and beverage vendors opening for business.

You won’t want to miss this, so come early for dinner and bring your bag chairs.

  • Saturday, June 15 – Stella Luna and the Satellites will make their debut at Late Night on Main. The band has a diverse arsenal of tunes: pop, rock, country, dance, R&B, and more.
  • Saturday, July 20 – Country Summer returns to Late Night on Main. Country Summer is a modern country/pop party band built for fun and here for the party.
  • Saturday, Aug. 17 – Local band, Midnight Red Eye will perform at 9 p.m. Midnight Red Eye is a cover band playing your favorite country, classic rock, and 90s alternative.

Carmel PorchFest Inc. will hold two more events this year in addition to the three Late Night on Main events.

  • Carmel PorchFest is scheduled for noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15. PorchFest is a free, family-friendly community event where a variety of musical acts perform live on neighborhood porches in the Arts & Design District. Plenty of food and beverage vendors will be available. Close to 60 bands are expected to perform on approximately 20 porches.
  • Holiday PorchFest will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7 in Midtown Carmel. Holiday PorchFest is a free holiday event with performers singing favorite Christmas and holiday songs. Vendors will be onsite offering warm beverages and snacks. Performers will perform every half hour from 2 to 4 p.m.

The Carmel PorchFest Grant Program has been created to provide financial aid to students interested in the musical arts. The grants cover such items as new instruments, lessons, schooling, musical opportunities, etc. in exchange for volunteer hours.
