The Guerin Catholic doubles team of sophomores Katie Kolb and Anna Kolb won their quarterfinals match Friday at the IHSAA state doubles tournament at North Central’s Barbara Wynne Tennis Center.
The Kolb sisters beat the Fort Wayne Carroll team of sophomore Riley Glassley and freshman Chloe Ceresa 6-4, 6-4. The Kolbs are 23-4 for the season and will play the Jasper team of senior Paige Giesler and junior Reese Mundy this morning in the semifinals at North Central.
The Fishers team of seniors Cassie Maurer and Caroline Ober received a bye into the semifinals and will take on the Angola team of junior Ava Harris and sophomore Maya Harris today. Both semifinals begin at 10 a.m.
The semifinal winners will play for the state championship at 2 p.m. at North Central.
