Suzanne Thomas, a dedicated community leader and advocate for education, has officially announced her candidacy for re-election to the Hamilton Southeastern School Board, Fall Creek Township.
With a diverse background as a mother, friend, realtor, business owner, volunteer, Rotarian, parishioner, athletic coach for youth sports, substitute teacher, conservative with traditional values and progressive vision in education, and Fishers resident since 2001, Thomas brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to serving her community.
During her tenure on the board, Thomas has demonstrated her dedication to putting students first, supporting teachers, making data-driven decisions, providing oversight, and ensuring fiscal responsibility. Highlights of her accomplishments include currently serving as Board Secretary, spearheading renovations at several schools (saving HSE schools $15 million), supported the approval of new literacy initiative Science of Reading, revising the student handbook to promote accountability and responsibility, and proudly supports the hiring of the new Superintendent of Hamilton Southeastern Schools.
“I am proud of the progress we have made together over the past four years,” Thomas said. “I am excited to continue serving the wonderful community of Hamilton Southeastern and remain committed to excellence in education for all students.”
