Westfield’s Samantha Brown is getting ready to play in the U.S. Women’s Open.
The Shamrocks’ state champion golfer and Purdue commit earned a spot in the Open – one of the major championships in women’s golf – by finishing first in the qualifying event at Sunset Country Club in St. Louis on May 8. Brown carded a 71-81=152 to earn her place at the Open.
The tournament begins on May 30. Brown will tee off for her first round at 12:30 p.m. and play with fellow Americans Sydnee Michaels and Savannah Vilaubi.
