Once again, the fine people of Hamilton County have proven why this is a great place to live.
Thanks to the hard work of Dustin Dixon with Noblesville Youth Assistance and Lisa Samuels of Sheridan Youth Assistance, one Sheridan High School student is well on her way in life.
According to Dixon, this soon-to-be graduate, who will remain nameless in this publication, has been dealt numerous unfortunate circumstances in her life, including the death of her custodial grandmother. Thankfully, some neighbors fostered her through high school.
She was active throughout her high school career and worked part-time. Now, she’s graduating early, has been accepted to college, and will continue to work part-time.
The vehicle shown here has been donated for her personal use while in college and working. Dixon is ensuring its inspection by a mechanic and that it gets a new set of tires.
This young lady has certainly done her part – now it’s time for the community to step up. If you can donate, please do so through the Sheridan Youth Assistance Program by going to tinyurl.com/SYAPdonate.
Any additional funds raised beyond what’s needed for the vehicle will go towards college supplies and living expenses.
