Margaret Phyllis Grimes

October 21, 1938 – May 16, 2024

Margaret Phyllis Grimes, 85, Noblesville, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Welllbrooke of Westfield.

Phyllis was born in Noblesville on October 21, 1938, to the late Frank and Clara (Knight) Anderson.

On March 1, 1963, she married Jerry E. Grimes, and they shared 44 years of marriage before Jerry’s passing in February of 2008.

Phyllis attended Walnut Grove High School and graduated with the class of 1956; she was still an active member of the Alumni Club. She worked for more than 50 years as an office manager for several different companies including Hudler Press. Phyllis was a member of Arcadia Christian Church. She was a part of the local Traveling Grannies, a group of friends who would travel to all the Purdue Glee Club shows. She enjoyed being a seamstress, baking and decorating cakes, gardening, and traveling in her free time.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Mohammad Loh) Grimes of Carmel; son, Jamie (Biz) Grimes of Greencastle, Ind.; daughter, Terri (Mark) Pouch of Noblesville; son, Kyle Grimes of Summitville, Ind.; grandchildren, Ashley (Drew) Thompson of Noblesville, Colton Pouch of Arcadia, Kristen (Luke) Funk of Noblesville, Karim Loh of Carmel, and Farah Loh of Carmel; step-grandchild, Michael (Erika) Pouch of Elwood, Ind.; and six great-grandchildren, Waylon, Rylee, Maddy, Abby, Cara, and Hank; and brother, Mike Anderson of Noblesville.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; son, Greg Grimes; sisters, Carolyn Eller and Debi Michael; and brothers, Tom Anderson and Mark Allen Anderson.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Hartley Funeral Home, Cicero, with J.R. Moffatt officiating. Burial will follow in the Arcadia Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Hartley Funeral Home, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero.
