Dear Editor:

Since meeting Bill last October, I have talked with him many times about his desire and personal beliefs in representing the people within Indiana House District 24. He is genuinely one of the most humble and honest persons to come to the political scene in a very long time. He has decided to begin to pay it forward through public service.

So, why is he the man for the job?

  • He grew up in a family who served the public in law enforcement and fire protection. He supports what it will take to keep us safe and get the officers home to their families. To him, our safety is a high priority.
  • Bill believes public education should be funded and run locally. However, state funds are needed to support that education. We have great schools in Westfield, and Bill is committed to continuing to fund education.
  • He is an entrepreneur with relationships with many large companies, and he understands the need for economic development in the district. These relationships and his business experience give him the insight needed to aid and promote economic development.
  • He believes urban and rural development need to be balanced for healthy growth, creating the balance needed to maintain a healthy community is a priority.
  • As a Christian, he believes in faith, family, life, and liberty.

Now, the big ones: do you realize that Indiana House District 24 is 95 percent in Hamilton County? Do you know that 64 percent of the district is in Westfield? Do you know that this is the first time we have a candidate for the 24th District who lives in Westfield? Bill is extremely qualified to be the next Indiana Representative for District 24, no matter where he lives in the district. However, the icing on this cake is that we have a chance to send one of our own to the state legislature.

It’s a “no-brainer.” Join me in supporting Bill Gutrich for Indiana State Representative for District 24. He is qualified and well-located in the district, making him the Man for the Job.
