The Hamilton County Artists’ Association’s youth group includes high school art students from across the county. They meet every third Wednesday of the month at the HCAA art center. Melinda Hamilton, who is a board member, heads the group. On Wednesday, they sculpted with dry clay and the theme was insects and fantasy creatures. As teenagers, they all display a good amount of natural art talent. HCAA encourages them to explore and hone their skills – and even expand their horizons. Each month, they learn something new and it’s all about having a good time and being part of the camaraderie. This is open to all high school art students in Hamilton County.
