Jackie D. Hodson

September 7, 1935 – March 5, 2024

Jackie D. Hodson, 88, Noblesville, passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2024, at Riverview Health in Noblesville. He was born on September 7, 1935, in Arcadia to Kenneth and Margaret (Hahn) Hodson.

Jack graduated from Jackson Central High School and enlisted in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He went on to serve in the Air Force in Vietnam and retired as a Master Sargeant. Jack married Carolyn Sue (Fitzgerald) Cornelius in 1982. He worked for Allison Transmission for 24 years before retiring from there. Jack was a member of First Christian Church in Noblesville and the Noblesville VFW Post #6246.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sue; three sons, Larry (Debbie Hilton) of Noblesville, Leonard (Kim) of Lexington, N.C., and Lee (David) of Birmingham, Ala.; four stepchildren, Julie (Jim) Crask, JR (Dottie) Cornelius, Shelly Sherrill, all of Noblesville, and Bill (Nancy) Cornelius of Washington, Ind.; 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Carol Rushton, Dion (Donna) Hodson, and Jimmy (Sherry) Hodson, all of Arcadia.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Leah Michelle.

Per Jack’s wishes, there will be no services. The Hodson Family has entrusted Randall & Roberts Funeral Home with Jackie’s care.
