Sheridan dropped a hard-fought Hoosier Heartland Conference game to Delphi 54-52 Tuesday at Larry Hobbs Hall.
The Oracles led 16-10 after one quarter and 31-21 at halftime. The Blackhawks came back in the third quarter, scoring 20 points to cut Delphi’s lead to 44-41. Trent DeCraene and Tyler Garner both scored six points. Sheridan kept it close in the fourth quarter, with Damon Winston making two 3-pointers, but the Oracles held on for the win.
Four Blackhawks players reached double figures. DeCraene and Garner both had 12 points; Garner put together a double-double by collecting 12 rebounds. DeCraene had seen assists. Winston and Trey Page both scored 11 points, including three 3s for Page, who also had six rebounds.
Sheridan completed conference play at 4-4 and is 11-7 overall. The Blackhawks play Thursday at Cowan.
