Bethel Lutheran Church invites the community to celebrate Shrove Tuesday at a Pancake Dinner from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at the church, located at 20650 Cumberland Road, Noblesville.
Also known as “Fat Tuesday,” Shrove Tuesday is the day before Lent begins on Ash Wednesday. It started thousands of years ago as a day to eat up sweets and fats before fasting began for the 40 days before Easter.
The dinner is offered as a gift to the community, though freewill offerings will be accepted.
