Several Hamilton County boys basketball players have been suspended after alleged violation of an IHSAA by-law.
Six players for Noblesville and two for Hamilton Heights are among the players suspended. The Reporter was told that the violation stemmed from basketball games that were played at the Boys and Girls Club of Noblesville.
IHSAA by-law 15-1.2 Team Sports (Baseball, Basketball, Football, Soccer, Softball and Volleyball) states:
- “a. “There was a violation of IHSAA rules,” said Marnie Cooke, Noblesville Schools Director of Communication. “We can’t comment or provide information on specific student issues like this.”
Hamilton Heights Athletic Director Kurt Ogden confirmed two boys basketball players have been suspended. Ogden would not comment further.
Neither school indicated if the suspension extended into next week’s sectional games.
