Sheridan’s girls dropped a Hoosier Heartland Conference game at Clinton Central Tuesday by the score of 51-42.
The Blackhawks got out to a 14-7 lead on the Class 1A No. 5 Bulldogs after the first quarter. But Central came back in the second period, taking a 22-19 lead into halftime. Sheridan battled in the second half, but the Bulldogs were able to outscore the ‘Hawks in both the third and fourth quarter to clinch the win, running their record to 21-1 for the season.
Kenzie Garner scored 17 points for Sheridan, and also had five rebounds, four steals and two blocked shots. Sadie Timme hit three 3-pointers for nine points.
The Blackhawks are 5-2 in conference play and 15-5 overall. Sheridan is back home tonight, hosting Southmont.
