The Westfield swim teams swept a dual meet Thursday at Avon.
The Shamrocks girls team won 112-71 and claimed six events. Individual winners were Kate Cassidy in the 200 freestyle, Gracie Alley was first in the 500 free, Ellie Hill took the backstroke and Nora Sperry won the breaststroke. Westfield won the medley relay, which consisted of Hill, Alex Irvin, Maggie Alley and Sperry, then later placed first in the 200 free relay. Cassidy, Irvin, Anna McKeown and Maggie Alley won that race.
Westfield’s boys were 107-78 winners, taking home eight event wins. The ‘Rocks led off with Griffin Barents Froman, Will Chambley, Garreth Thomas and Ben Morse finishing first in the medley relay.
Thomas picked up two more event wins, pacing the individual medley and butterfly. Morse also had a double-victory night, tying for first in the 50 free before winning the 100 free. Other winners were Noah Flynn in diving, Zach Welch in the 500 free and Chambley in the breaststroke.
