The annual Shop for Kids event was another huge success this year, with more than 50 children getting a shopping trip at Target in Fishers so they could have a Christmas they otherwise may not have had. The Indiana State Police got in on the action as well, and Santa even showed up in an ISP helicopter.
It’s a little early in the season for Santa to pull Rudolph out of the barn, so the Indiana State Police, along with local law enforcement and a host of volunteers who reportedly identify as elves, handled flying Father Christmas into Hamilton County for the annual Shop For Kids event. After landing at Harbour Shores Church, 8011 E. 216th St., Cicero, police escorts took kids and Mr. Claus to Target in Fishers to help make young holidays merry and bright. We leave it to Hoosier Weather Daddy Paul Poteet to make sure all their Christmases are white.
The Shop for Kids Board thanks every business, organization, and individual who helped make Christmas come true for these kids. While there are too many sponsors to name here, you can see a full list at this link. Learn more about the program at Facebook.com/ShopForKidsHC.
