Carmel encourages residents to recycle their campaign signs

Carmel Utilities and the Carmel Street Department are partnering with the Hamilton County Household Hazardous Waste Center and Recycle Force to recycle campaign signs generated from the 2023 election seasons.

This recycling initiative prevents an abundance of yard signs going to a local landfill as they cannot be recycled in regular curbside pickup. If residents do not plan on returning their campaign signs to individual candidates, they are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to recycle.

Now through Thursday, Nov. 30, Carmel residents are encouraged to bring their campaign signs and metal stands to the following locations, per the appropriate dates and times listed below. Please note the schedule changes due to the upcoming holiday observances.
