Nickel Plate Arts to hold Day of the Dead celebration on Nov. 1

Immerse yourself in the vibrant and colorful spirit of Dia de los Muertos at the annual Day of the Dead celebration hosted by Nickel Plate Arts. The event will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at the Nickel Plate Arts campus in Noblesville.

Dia de los Muertos, also known as Day of the Dead, is a celebration of life and creativity deeply rooted in Mexican culture and a joyful tribute to loved ones who have passed away. A lively and culturally enriching experience for all ages, the Nickel Plate Arts Day of the Dead celebration aims to infuse this tradition with an artistic twist, ensuring it appeals to both the young and the young at heart.

Families attending this event will have the opportunity to explore the rich tapestry of Mexican art and culture, immerse themselves in the customs, and participate in engaging hands-on crafts and activities. In addition to the cultural experiences, authentic Mexican cuisine will be available for all to savor.

The celebration will feature live music by The Mariachi Solo, face painting by Adrienne Maynard of Fabulously Fun Company, tamale making, and jewelry crafting, among other exciting activities. It’s a day full of unforgettable experiences that promises to be both entertaining and culturally enlightening.

This event is the perfect opportunity for families to honor those they hold dear while celebrating the rich traditions of Dia de los Muertos. Costumes are highly encouraged!
