Nova Cross reaches 1,000 assists, first Sheridan player to do so

The Sheridan volleyball team swept North Montgomery 25-16, 25-22, 25-19 on Wednesday.

Nova Cross reached the 1,000 assist mark during the game, becoming the first-ever Blackhawks player to reach the milestone. Cross also had four aces, four kills and seven digs.

Sheridan served a season-high 23 aces, including 10 from Trinity Parkin. Meredith Krupp served six. Parkin totaled 21 service points.

Kenzie Garner hit eight kills, followed by seven from Parkin and three from Beth Adams. On defense, Krupp made 14 digs, while Parkin and Garner each collected nine.

Sheridan is 15-11 and plays at Hamilton Heights tonight to finish its regular season.
