Irvin Lester Rollison, II

July 18, 1946 – September 17, 2023

Irvin Lester Rollison, II, 77, died peacefully at his home in Indianapolis on September 17, 2023, following a seven-year battle with cancer.

Corky, as he was fondly known, was born in Columbus, Ohio, on July 18, 1946, to the late Irvin Lester and Betty Jane (Conn) Rollison. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Carmen Cooper.

Corky is survived by his wife of 28 years, Helen (Hughes) Rollison; daughter, Beth (Mike) Webb; son, Isaac Rollison; and stepson, Adam (Andrea) Cooper; plus grandchildren, Joshua, Jordan, Hannah, Emmy, Sloan, Skylar, Miles, Charlotte, and Trent.

He had a love for cars his entire life. As a young adult he spent hours in a garage under the hood restoring cars and then painting them back to their original finish. Corky and his wife Helen shared a passion for auto sports, and they spent many weekends at a racetrack. He enjoyed stretching his imagination when creating birdhouses and also when he spent many hours doing home remodeling projects.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church.

A gathering of family and friends will take place at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Hartley Funeral Home Cicero Chapel, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero. He will then be laid to rest at Cicero Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
