Kleiner named head Carmel softball coach

Stephanie Kleiner has been named as the new head coach for the Carmel Softball program.

Coach Kleiner has been involved with softball for over 30 years, both playing and coaching at highly competitive levels. Her resume includes All-Conference and All-State Honors as a pitcher and outfielder at Deerfield High School in Illinois. This led to an opportunity to play at Indiana University for a short time.

As a coach, Stephanie has worked with the Indiana Magic Gold and Indiana Dreams as well as serving as the head coach at University High School. Coach Kleiner has worked with many players at different levels of the game. She prides herself on player development and the relationships she makes with her teams. Kleiner has played a role for many girls that have committed to playing softball at the collegiate level. Professionally, she is a third grade teacher at Forest Dale Elementary School.

An introductory meeting for parents and student-athletes will be held soon. More information will be shared for prospective student-athletes when the date is determined.
