Girls golf: New bests for Huskies, Carmel wins dual

The Hamilton Heights girls golf team dropped a dual meet to Tipton 207-212 Thursday.

Presley Cherry led the Huskies with a personal-best score of 49. Taylor Morrison added a 51. Four more golfers achieved personal bests: Camyrn Runner (55), Tanner Penwell (57), Hadleigh Cherry (59) and Sammie Powers (61), Alayna Kauffman scored 70.

In an earlier meet, Carmel beat Hamilton Southeastern 152-162 Tuesday in a dual meet at Prairie View.

Claire Swathwood was the meet medalist with a two-under par 34. Other Greyhounds scores were Michaela Headlee 37, Kamryn Williams 39, Sophie Mock 42, Maddie Headlee 42 and Gabby Saber 50.

Noblesville hosted Westfield and Carmel in a three-team meet on Wednesday, with the Shamrocks winning 171. The Millers posted a 174 and the Greyhounds a 221.

Lilley Ku led Westfield with a 40, followed by Sami Hanavan 42, Sadie Edwards 44 and Ellison Daggy 45.

Noblesville’s Presley White was the medalist with a 37, followed by Peyton Kauzlick scoring a 41.
